The Surrounds of Glann House offer a number of activities. Oughterard offers the perfect balance of outdoor activity, historical charm, and relaxed social life, in the village (10min drive from the house) enjoy great meals and music in welcoming pubs.
Lough Corrib is a renowned fishery, and fishing is permitted from February 15th to September 30th. Peak Season is normally the Mayfly from about the second week of May until early June.
The lake is large, offering diverse fishing opportunities depending on the season and location.
For best results Anglers should fish from boats.
Fishing methods vary; wet fly, dry fly, dapping, or trolling can all produce results on the lake.
